Flosstube Vacation & Stitch North 2023 Retreat
Great to see another video, Pam. It's been a hot summer here in BC too. I love the English paper piecing you're doing, it's coming along well. So colourful!
Thank you so much. I'm really enjoying the paper piecing as my "take to work" project because it's so easy to add a hexie her or there as time permits.
Beautiful ❤️ pattern 😻 thank you 👍🏾
You’re welcome 😊
Hi what is the name of the chart I n the q snap love it
Thank you. It's not a chart that's available. It's a chart I created myself using Pic2Pat. It's actually fom a photo of home decor that used to hang in my bedroom as a child.
i just made a six inch version this afternoon! it was about $15 for all the materials from home depot, but i bought two-foot lengths of 1/2 inch pvc instead of one big one, which would have been cheaper. it only took about five minutes to cut it all with a pex cutter and get it put together! thank you so much for the tutorial!!
You're very welcome. I'm happy it worked well for you.
Hey Pam, your stitching is looking great. We really need another stitching get together in the fall.
Absolutely!
Awesome video as usual. Gorgeous band sampler finish. Congratulations!
Thank you
So you held up your gorgeous band sampler and I thought to myself wait a minute you already finished that??! And second later, I realized I’m watching your videos in reverse because I’m so far behind! 🤦🏼♀️ I’m getting so old! 🤷🏼♀️ Anyway, it’s gorgeous, and I love Alamo Square too!! ❤
Love watching your progress on a Christmas Carol. It’s beautiful!
Thank you so much!
I’m back too! I haven’t watched Flosstube in forever! I am so glad you are still making videos! I love full coverage! I LOVE your A Christmas Carol! ❤
Nice to see you've returned. Thanks for watching ❤
So happy you have chosen Christmas Carol as your priority piece🎉 You look fabulous ❤
Thank you so much ❤️
Two beautiful finishes. Your christmas HAED is going to be very very beautiful. happy stitching
Thank you ❤
So, so happy to see you! I live in Florida - so yes HOT. 😵💫
Yes, a little hot for me. Thanks for watching ❤
Always nice to see you post.
Thank you ❤
Love your work, Pam.
Thank you so much ❤️
Oh I love that whale stitchery! Love to see your hexie progress! Stay cool!
Thank you so much. Planning to have another update video soon.
Welcome back! I really enjoyed your video tonight.
Thank you so much ❤️
So good to see your fabulous stitching ❤️ You are making great progress on your Christmas Carol, and the Whale - stunning!!!! Thank you so much for sharing.
Thank you so much ❤️ Hoping to have the whale finished soon.
@@PamsCraftyCorner … Awesome. Your stitching is fabulous!
Its so nice to see you again, congrats on your finishes, they are both fabulous. Love your idea of the Newfoundland flag. Your Double Dutch is looking awesome!!! Its been very hot and dry here, but so thankful for some rain today!!!
Thanks Dee. I'm pretty happy with my Double Dutch start. Yours is gorgeous.
what's the difference between full cross and tent stitch?
In crossstitch a full cross is a completed crossstitch that would look like a "X", tent stitch looks like a half crossstitch but is stitched in a specific way to prevent the fabric from warping.
I hate tent stitch too. Totally is not enjoyable, not complete, and I don't find my rhythm. I love that you are doing a Republic of Newfoundland flag. So cool.
Thank you. ❤
I love your band sampler! I had to buy the magazine too. All of your projects are coming along so nicely.
Thank you so much. That magazine is a great resource for charts.
It’s good to see you back, Pam. I enjoyed seeing your beautiful wips and finishes. That band sampler is especially colorful! ❤
Thank you so much ❤️
🙋♀️🇨🇦
A couple things about FGL’s personal life: she and Lee had three children, two of whom outlived her, and they were divorced largely because he was from the American south and very traditional (aka racist as hell, his father had been a Confederate general during the American civil war) whole Frances was very liberal-minded and progressive. He also resented that she had so much more money than he did. Although I do think they loved each other (they briefly reconciled after their initial separation, during which their youngest child was conceived), they simply found it too difficult to live together. He eventually remarried, but she chose to stay single after the divorce. Also, her dad wasn’t against women being educated, he did pay the best private tutors in Chicago to teach his daughter and Frances’s mother had been a school teacher herself. It was simply that Gilded Age high society looked down on women who went on for higher degrees, and the only school Frances ever wanted to attend was Harvard, and Harvard did not take on women as students until 1946, very near the end of her life.
Thanks for sharing your progress. It’s interesting to see your work develop. I don’t think I’ll ever tackle a full coverage myself, so I’m enjoying one vicariously through you. You do well to get so much done with your busy schedule! I’m all booked too for StitchNorth 2025, 1st weekend!
Someone posted her husband’s pvc pipe lap stand. I lost the directions….😢thank you so much for this. Now all I have to figure out is how to cut the pipe. Hopefully you will address this in the video…. The 45 degree pieces are called elbows.
Always look forward to your Maynia plans and progress. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you so much!
I have the 4th week this month for my current full coverage piece. You make me excited to get to it.
The detail is coming through beautifully. Nice progress!
Thank you ❤
Me too! I look forward to seeing you again at 2025 Stitch North! Good progress on your Maynia project!
Thanks for watching. Looking forward to seeing you next year. Stitch North is always so much fun!
Great progress on your beautiful projects. Happy stitching
Thank you.
Great update!!!! Love seeing your progress on your projects ❤
I am so glad you had a wonderful time at Stitch North. I have never been to any retreat yet but maybe next year it will be on my agenda. I absolutely love your Christmas Carol HAED. I look forward to your Vlogs.
Thanks for watching ❤ Retreats are fun. You should definitely try to attend one.
Hi Pam - I’ve discovered you by searching for any Stitch North floss tubes - I enjoyed your floss tube so much that now I’m a subscriber! Your work is beautiful! You have so much patience to do such detailed work! Just a friendly note regarding the thread bed from Gamma’s Treasures. It was in the swag bag for both Stitch North weekends. I was at the second weekend. It’s amazing to me as a sewer that she made 450 of these thread beds!!! Kudos and a big thank you to Dawn Myers of Gamma’s Treasures.
Thanks for watching ❤ and thanks for reminding me the thread bed was in the swag bag. Sometimes you receive so many lovely things at retreats and by the time you're home it's hard to remember where they all came from.
Pam your hair is beautiful. You look great! Love your videos and seeing all the progress on your pieces. I look forward to your next video! Take care and happy stitching !
Thank you so much!
So fun to see your Stitch North video and your beautiful projects - I especially love "Christmas Carol" so I am happy to hear you are working on it for Maynia and look forward to the weekly video post! I adore your Pandemic piece and loved seeing it in person! It was so nice to meet you in person at Stitch North and I was very impressed by your packing and organizational skills! Thank you for all you taught me in our lobby debrief chat!
It was lovely to meet you. Stitch North was fun right to the end. Still having great conversations on my way out the door, lol.
Lovely sharing a table with you. I look forward to your vlogs :)
It was great meeting you & witnessing your huge finish first hand. Maybe we'll meet again sometime!
Oh no…I missed meeting you at Stitch North week 1 but I know I did not get to all 30 tables and I was at table 1 with the Forest City Stitcher. I am so glad to have found you. I am doing the Canadian flag too…I had a square on the right that pattern keeper said was 600 stitches. Your work is fabulous…I don’t know why your channel has not come to my feed before. I will check former videos.
I very much enjoyed seeing all of the projects that you've been working on. Your stitching and projects are amazing. Thank you for a great recap of your Stitch North retreat. Happy Spring and Happy Stitching!
LOVED the show....all the projects and of course all the stories Pam. Maybe next year I will make it to Stitch North and get to meet you in person. Thanks and see you soon...on line of course...lol <3
I’ve added a full issue of Just CrossStitch magazine to pattern keeper. I scrolled through the magazine and chose just the chart I wanted to stitch. It saw only the one page chart and I was able to use pattern keeper. Hope you are able to make it work.
So glad you decided to make Christmas Carol WIP as your focus piece! It deserves to be seen more often😊 the dog and your husband is such a cute and contrasting pair, at least for the moment😅 safe trip and lots of fun!
Hi Pam, sorry you were sick and happy to see you again. The Christmas Carol piece is amazing, so beautiful. Pam, I live across the river from Ottawa, I hope you will enjoy your time with your friend. Happy New Year also to you and your family. Happy stitching.💝🪡😄
So good to see you Pam! Loved seeing all your progress!!!
It is so not fun to be ill, especially when it leaves you too wiped out to even stitch. Glad you are feeling better. I know what you mean about having WIPs hidden away and not seeing them again for a year. This is my year of "finishing up those older ones." In many cases, a few days to a week of dedicated stitching really makes a difference! Looking forward to the next Coffee, Craft & Crime episode.
A Christmas Carol is on my list to do but I have never done a full coverage. I hope you have the most wonderful trip.
So good to see you again, Pam! :-) I'm glad to hear you're feeling better, and ohhh boy that Boxer pup! ❤ Too cute. Happy stitching!
Omg! Your puppy is so cute! So happy to see your video, glad you are feeling better❤️
Thank you 😊
It's good to see you again. Sorry to hear you were so sick but am glad you are doing better now. As always, your stitching is fantastic! I hope you have a great time at Stitch North and enjoy your visit with your friend. Happy stitching! 😊
Thank you so much! I'm really looking forward to my trip after such a hectic start to the new year.
Great to see you back and over pneumonia. Love your stitching projects all coming together fabulous work. Not into tent stitch myself although it's used for tapestry but with stitching with wool it looks great for that.
